I have made this fudge multiple times and it never fails to impress family and friends with its smooth texture and rich flavor

Ingredients

  • Sweetened condensed milk: 400 g (14 oz)
  • Semi-sweet chocolate chips: 340 g (12 oz)
  • Unsalted butter: 60 g (4 tbsp), cut into pieces
  • Pure vanilla extract: 1 tsp
  • Chopped walnuts or pecans (optional): 60 g (½ cup)
  • Pinch of sea salt (optional): for sprinkling

Step 1:
Line a 20 cm (8-inch) square baking pan with parchment paper leaving some overhang for easy removal
Step 2:
In a medium saucepan over low heat combine the sweetened condensed milk chocolate chips and butter Stir constantly until the chocolate and butter are melted and the mixture is smooth
Step 3:
Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract Fold in nuts if using
Step 4:
Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula
Step 5:
If desired sprinkle a pinch of sea salt over the top
Step 6:
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until fully set
Step 7:
Lift the fudge from the pan using the parchment overhang Cut into 24 squares and serve
